About This Spot

Stepping into Elliots Augusta Pizza & Grill, you immediately feel the comforting hum of a well-loved neighborhood spot. It’s the kind of place where the pace slows just enough to savor a familiar meal without the fuss, a casual corner anchored by the warm faces of those who know the neighborhood’s rhythm. The atmosphere strikes a balance between breezy and welcoming—the corners alive with chatter, the clatter of plates, and the quiet nods exchanged between regulars and staff alike.

This modest pizza and grill joint holds a subtle charm in its everyday bustle. The smell of fresh, thin tavern-crust pizza baking edges the air, tempting the walk-in crowd with slices cut into classic squares, piled with toppings that cover every inch. Alongside those pies are satisfying plates and handhelds—whether it’s a rib-eye steak pita or a comforting meatloaf dinner, each dish carries a sense of homey satisfaction, like a midday reprieve on a busy day.

The team here moves with a genuine ease, pairing quick, attentive service with warmth that invites you to linger just a little longer. Lunchtime patrons, ranging from city workers to families, gather to enjoy meals that nourish both body and spirit—a grilled chicken salad or a hearty hot dog shared over easy conversation, a brief pause in the city’s relentless flow.

What makes Elliots Augusta more than just another fast-food stop is its quiet authenticity. It feels less about rush and more about the simple joy of a clean plate at the end of a meal—a shared understanding that good food, friendly faces, and neighborhood roots are more than enough to make a place special.

Stopped in around 1 pm for lunch and grabbed a 16‑in “Special” pie, a rib‑eye steak pita, cheese fries and a soda. Thin tavern‑crust, cut Chicago‑style squares, loaded pepp and sausage edge‑to‑edge. Kitchen knocked it out in under 10 mins—“I’ve never had longer than a 15 minute wait” kind of fast! Crew behind the counter was talkative & friendly. For real, the best cheap‑slice spot in Lakeview.

So their meatloaf special on Wednesdays is SO good and Home-y and it comes with mashed potatoes and green beans- ugh! SO GOOD and like a warm hug on a dreary Wednesday at work on my lunch break!

Take out restaurant. Food is always good. My go to is the chicken pita. The salads are delicious. All the city workers go to place.
